Glen Lyon / Ben Lawers

Glen Lyon is one of the most beautiful glens is Scotland, gently unassuming but with a collection of rare flora and fauna unseen elsewhere. One one side of the glen is a nice horseshoe walk taking in four summits, with good views of Schiehallion. The other side of the glen contains Ben Lawers, one of the highest mountains in Scotland. Next door is a lovely wee ridge down from the summit of Meall nan Tarmachan.

Ben Lawers trip: Meall nan Tarmachan is a short day out but the walk contains a very fine ridge and great views. Ben Lawers is higher and can the walk can be extended to take in as many Munros as you can handle.
