Glen Etive is in a spectacular location, surrounded by mighty mountains
on all sides except the down the loch, out to the sea. However, felling
by the foresty commission has produced some unsightly areas of stumps.
14 October 2001The day trip to Glencoe will enable the ascent of classic mountains such as Buchaille Etive Mor with its views across the bleak Rannoch Moor as well as down the glens Etive and Coe. Other mountains include Buchaille Etive Beag, Bidean nam Bian, Stob Coire Sgreamhach, and the Aonach Eagach. In the unlikely event of rain you can chill out in the Clachaig or King's House inns!You will need map Landranger 41, or Outdoor Leisure 38. | |
