The Cairngorms are a spectacular range of mountains, a vast expanse of wilderness (except for the car parks, ski tows, funicular railways and summit restaurants!).

Sunday 13 January 2002 The main aim of the day is to introduce winter walking. In fact, if you intend to go out at all this term you should attend this meet. You will be given the opportunity to learn about and practise the use of crampons for icy terrain and ice axe for self arrest. You will need map Landranger 36, or Outdoor Leisure 3.
